Welcome to the Washington Moroccan Association
Here you will find valuable information on the Moroccan-American community in Washington state; and particularly in Seattle-Tacoma area.
Founded in 2005 by a small group of individuals to promote Moroccan culture and traditions and act as a strong fabric to bring the Moroccan community together, WAMA has become the nucleus that holds our community together and provides an avenue for members to participate in events and give back to their community. Since its inception, WAMA has been dedicated to:
- promoting better understanding and relations between the peoples of Morocco and the United States of America,
- increasing, promoting, fostering friendship, raising the public knowledge level and understanding of the Moroccan culture and history in the community,
- furthering the interests of the Moroccan-American community in the Seattle-Tacoma Metropolitan area;
- performing charitable, educational and civic activities for the benefit if its members;
- maintaining ties with other organizations of like goals, to include the Arab Community of Washington State among others.
